new album notification?

Is there any service you can sign up for that will email you when one of your favorite artists releases a new album?

I envision uploading or typing in my favorite artists to a website and providing my email address.   Then if one of the artists in my profile releases a new album, I get an email telling me it's available.  Checked amazon.com and others but didn't find anything.

I'm sure Amazon DOES do that.
Go to "Your Account" and then "Alerts".
You can enter the name of the artist there.

iTunes 4.7 also has that feature.  It works not only for new releases, but anytime an album from that artist has been added.  8)

www.SonicBreakdown.com is a new service that will notify you any time one of your favorite artists releases an album, is in concert near you, is on TV, etc. It's my site, so the usual disclaimers apply.
