Working around the leading zero issue
« on: December 31, 2004, 04:53:41 pm »

The problem which many already now is that MC removes the leading zero's from the track number in the tag whenever any changes are made to the tag itself.

Since this has been talked about along time ago and off and on since and it still hasn't been
addressed I'm looking for a way around the problem.  If I uncheck the "update tags when file info changes" box will I still be able to change the rating on my files.  Aren't the ratings stored in the tag?  Where is it kept if that option is unchecked.

If this would be addressed in MC11 I would be inclined to upgrade but if not I will have stick with what I have since for the most part it does what I want.  I might be wrong but this sounds like it wouldn't be a major problem to change the behavior.  MC should not change something it is not asked to.
