More dropped than captured
« on: January 18, 2005, 11:30:21 am »

Is there any possibillity that I get more from my machine. And sound is like from the cave. I'm not using any sound or video compression. I get 90 captured and 120 droped. When it starts first few seconds are OK but than it starts to lose captured one.

As a complete beginer, plese help me.

Try setting video size to 320x240 (choose "320x240 J River Codec 29.97fps" for "Recording/time-shifting Profile".

Using video compression actually may help, since uncompressed video is large, and may strain your hard disk, unless you have super fast hard drive.

You can create a custom profile based on "320x240 J River Codec 29.97fps" , then you can experiment with different video compressors, or no compressor.
