Lost file associations
« on: March 11, 2005, 12:35:24 pm »

I'm not to sure if this is a problem with MC 11 or whether it's just my system but it seems that in the last couple of builds I have lost all my file associations to MC in as much as the icons refuse to display the MC logo. I've checked out the file associations in MC and they're ok. I've checked the file associations in exploer and it says it is associated with MC. I've even run media sceduler to reclaim associations but still nothing. Ive even changed the association to another media payer and the logo takes fine. I can play all the media files with MC as if they are associated, it's just the logo thats missing.

Has anyone got any ideas or come across this before?

Thanks

I noticed this problem too.   When I installed I was just seeing if I liked the application and now I purchased it and set my WMA association and started ripping in Ogg Vorbis (which I also associated).  The ogg files open in media center but do not automatically play and have no icon or properties.  Also only wmas with their extension capitalized (.WMA) are associating properly with Media Center.  A bug with MC11?

Set them in MC and double check other applications' settings.

If you're using Media Server or Library Server, the settings are read only.  Switch to the default library to set your preferences.

Thx, rebooting seems to have fixed my problem.
