Media Scheduler Problem: Not Playing Playlist
« on: March 30, 2005, 05:55:21 pm »

For a couple years now I've used Media Center and Media Scheduler as an alarm clock, yet now I've ran into a problem where I can't do so anymore.  In Media Scheduler I had set up a Custom Periodic Task to play a smartlist each morning.  It had worked fine for a long time, but now only Media Center starts but doesn't play anything.  This was how I set up Media Scheduler:

Action: Start Custom Task
Start: 6:00 a.m.
Command Name: Rate
Program Path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\mjextman.exe
Command Line: /PlayReplace TREEPATH=Playlists\Rate
  • weekdays

I tried plugging in different playlists but nothing happens other than Media Center opening up.  Could someone offer up any solutions? Thanks

What version do you have?  You can copy your system info from MC help and paste it here.

Did you change versions at the time it stopped working?

Yea I did change versions, but it only stopped working properly since MC Beta 225. All previous MC 11 versions worked fine.
Thanks for the assistance!!

Aight nevermind, I was able to fix it by uninstalling and then manually deleting msscript.ocx.  Don't know whether that specific file had anything do with my problem but it was something that stalled the uninstallation to the point that it froze.

I love this app by the way!!!
