BPM detection
« on: May 17, 2005, 09:35:19 am »

The bpm detector on MC is fantastic, but not infallible.

What i wanted was a simple program that allows me to tap along with the music and it reports the bpm i am tapping, and then i can update the tag in MC.

I found what i wanted in BPMChecker, but they want $40 for a version that works which i think is steep in the extreme.

Anybody found an alternative - or another way of doing what i want?

Much obliged.....

I guess this could be done in a plug-in if there is a hook into the sdk for BPM (i am not sure of that but I think there is)

with a timer and a simple math problem it can be done...

yes it is not worth $40 maybe $1.00

Even a plugin may be OTT as a standalone app and MC's tag-editing is probably sufficient.

Plugin would be nicer tho.

Ah well - if ever i find myself with time on my hands i should probably make it myself....
