Erasing DVD+RW media
« on: July 21, 2005, 11:18:11 am »

I have an NEC ND-3520A DVD writer and a stock of DVD+RW media.  I can burn a disk using MC10 or 11, no trouble, but if I want to re-use the disk and select "Erase" the process leaves only any previously unused area available for further use.

This also happens if I erase the disk using Turbo Backup, so it's not an MC problem as such, but if any one has any ideas about how to make the whole disk re-usable, I'm all ears.

FYI the drive has the latest firmware installed, and I'm running Win2k fully updated.

Do you have this problem with all your disks?  Have you burned DVDs with any other apps apart from MC and Turbo Backup?

With the half dozen I've tried so far.  I bought several boxes of a single brand (Lögik).
