Copy Disc File
« on: August 14, 2005, 10:55:31 am »

Is there a way to use copy disc file or move disc file and have the files retain their folder structure.  As it is currently implemented all files are just dumped into one directory, which means that files with the same name are overwritten.

The problem is that i am moving like 100 albums so i don't really want to have to do it by hand.  It would make things incredibly easy if i could just copy them all over in one move.

Basically I have to transfer a bunch of the albums off my htpc to my server.  The only problem is that there are quite a few albums that i have already got on the server, so i need to only transfer the ones that are not already there.

Thanks for the help, I have been using option one, and I think that the solution is to include track numbers in the file name so that nothing gets overwritten.  That seems to be the best bet at the moment, until there is an internal copy system that maintains the structure.
