Playing FLAC-files kill MC..?!?
« on: October 23, 2005, 04:39:01 pm »

Hello all..!

I mostly, or 95%, convert my cd's to ape-format. But, after downloading a few flac-files, I've got into trouble..
Using the latest MC, not beta, and the latest flac-decoder, when playing these flac-files, MC randomly closes it self..?!? Not locking or hanging, just closes..sometimes I can play for 30 min, sometimes 5..

Tried a search, but couldn't find anything on the subject..

Guess a conversion to ape should solve the problem, but why this behaviour..?!?

Retro--
I listen to FLACs in MC pretty much every waking hour of every day I wake up.  I am a self-proclaimed FLAC-tester.  It's a heckish duty, I know, but if I don't do it, it won't get done.

This all being said, I have NEVER seen what you're talking about, and I listen to so much music, I've begun to see some pretty odd stuff.  My suggestion:  convert those straggler FLACs to APE and be done with it.

Odds are, it's your machine / software conflicts.  Possibly, you downloaded some weird FLACs.  But in any case, if converting them works, why not?
