Would conversion to APE make up for missing MP3 fr
« on: September 28, 2002, 07:38:07 am »

Hi,

Just wondering.  I read on hear a while back that sometimes the frames at the end of an MP3 don't quite link up which explains why sometimes two tracks taht are ripped and are supposed to be continuous are occasionally not when ripped to MP3 (if that makes sense).  I was just wondering if converting these MP3 to APE would make them fit together better or if this would only make a difference at the ripping stage?

PS if this is a really stupid question just ignore me and I'll tak that to mean "Adam you are being very silly!!"

Cheers

No, it won't help.

In quality terms:

An APE of the original is the original.

An APE of an MP3 is an mp3.
