DVD importing
« on: December 19, 2005, 07:19:53 pm »

Nearing the end of the year’s task to rip all my CD’s, now my attention turns to my DVD collection.  Extra HDD’s installed, and a great ripper called DVD decrypter working fine.

I want to import the DVD’s into MC.  For all the various files that come off a DVD, there’s only one needed to start the thing playing; that’s VIDEO_TS.vob – or so I am told.

The MC import function brings in all the .vob files.  Is there anyway to be more specific?  Having all the others there makes the theatre view look very messy when selecting a film to watch.  At the moment I am removing them for the library manually.

Use the windows explorer search feature.  The name of the first vob file will be the same for every movie, search for that file in all your movie folders.
After they are all found, select them all, right click, media center, import.
