Help! Remote Wonder 2
« on: December 31, 2005, 07:01:30 am »

I have read where support for RW2 is builtin to MC11 but I can do NOTHING to get it to work. Any suggestions for me?

Do you have the ATI RW software installed?
It should be configured to load on startup. After that start up MC and it should work. Sometimes I do have to hit play/pause with my mouse after which the RW works ok.

For me the RW only works when MC is on top, I use one of the mini-views when I'm working another app,

I thought my remote was broken for several days, until I noticed that one of the AUX buttons were selected instead of PC. Then it worked "flawless". Could this be it?

It's never worked on Media Center so I am unsure. Foobar and Zoom work fine with plugins.

This was it.  When you have one of those annoying and useless Aux buttons "selected" the remote no longer sends out the standard commands.  The original idea was that ATI was going to release an IR Blaster add-in that would allow you to program the remote to use those buttons to control your other AV equipment.  They abandoned the plan though, and now the Remote Wonder Plus (newest version) no longer sports those buttons.

They're just a pain.
