JRiver: ~limit question
« on: January 25, 2006, 12:32:14 pm »

Hi!
I was thinking about making some smartlists / views using the modifier ~limit. But the problem is that ~limit seems to be a global modifier, so you can't use it within parentheses to limit a specific section of a smartlist.

Is this a bug or is it like this by design?

Thanks!

Anything with a tilde is a post processor.  That means it's run after all the regular search expressions are done and there's a set of output files.

You may be able to make one smartlist reference another smartlist to accomplish advanced nesting.

Thanks again!
