Problems With Latest LAME version
« on: January 31, 2006, 06:39:55 pm »

For some reason, when using the latest version of the LAME mp3 encoder available via the "Check for Updates" link, MC is hanging on initialization of a rip process and I have to hit cancel and then force close MC. When I roll back to the 3.93 version, MC functions fine. Any ideas or suggestions?

Are you using custom or the built in settings?
I found that I had an extra space in my custom switches and MC would just sit there when I tried to use LAME. Took my mistake out and all was well.
Best of my recollection the custom command had never been changed, just when the LAME version changed it got picky. Good thing too, it was missing the quality setting because of my fat fingers.
