Reset "Number Plays"?
« on: February 02, 2006, 09:02:55 am »

What is the best way to resent "Number Plays"?

I am using Number Plays in my rating methodology (i.e., if number plays > 0 and rating = 0, then set rating = 3).  This allows me to rate new music somewhat passively (unless I really like [4-5] or dislike [1-2] the song) on my iPod.

I have a couple dozen songs with number plays = 60, 80, & 100.  These are obvilously in error.  I would like to reset these playcounts.

Possible?

select the offending files, open the action window tag info page.

click on the drop down arrow in the top left of the tag info window frame to see some options and make sure that 'columns to show' is set to 'show all fields'

Now scroll down to the 'file info' section (of the tag info window) and there you will see the [number plays] field. It will say <varies>. when you click on that, you will see a 'reset' button appear in the right of the field, click on that to clear the number plays info for the selected files.

Thank you!
