Image organisation
« on: February 17, 2006, 03:30:41 am »

Just contemplating using Media Center as the first port of call for viewing all our images, but just wanted a quick bit of advice re: tagging.  Is there any way using MC to change the IPTC data in JPG or TIFF files ?  Filled in a few fields in 'Tag Info' but when I then viewed the file on another browser, it didn't seem like the info had been stored in the JPG itself ...

Deep apologies if this is a q. answered elsewhere - I did a big scan of the FAQ etc.

Thanks !

MC uses its own tagging.  Tiff tagging isn't flexible enough.

Still it would be nice if we could map certain IPTC tags to go into MC tags on import/update. I know it's not what the OP wanted, but it sure would be handy.
