new look forum page... what do the new things do?

i, as a computer newbie, feel a bit overwhelmed by all the new icons...i am afraid to click on them to see what they do, in case its catastrophic. even the stuff at the top while i am typing this message looks daunting, and holding the mouse pointer over things does not tell you what things do. anyone who knows what things are for, please post reply, and thanx

What are you gonna break ? And if you do break it... Call it beta testing (thats what I always do  8) )

Well, there is just one button that could cause a problem.  It's the one that's yellow and almost square.  It says "eject" on it.  Just don't touch that one.

one thing not talked about yet is the clock. And i just figured it out for me
