i recently tried to convert all my music to 128kbps mp3s for my creative zen xtra.  while doing so i noticed that there is what i would call a bug/oversight:  MC will keep on converting until it fills up the host drive and then start erroring out, instead of transferring some of the files over, freeing up space, and then converting more mp3s.  i suppose with a dual core processor this might not happen, but since it converts so ** quickly, there's no cpu time for MC to transfer over on my single core athlon64 (using gogo).

my proposed solution is to set a maximum "cache" size or to have an option to fill up the host drive before it has to start transferring files to free up space.

ps for clarification, by host drive i mean the computer's drive. it just seemed like a convenient term to use.

nvermind seems to have been a one time bug.  u guys can delete this post or whatever if u want. or u can look into it and see if u can recreate it.  i still think its a good idea to set a maximum cache size.

MC tries to delete the temporary file as soon as it finishes the transfer.

It also deletes the entire temporary conversion folder at the end of the process.

If files weren't being deleted, it makes me think something had them locked.  I've never seen this, so am not sure what would be causing it.

yah what happened was it wasn't transferring the files, it was just converting everything.  so im thinking either some file got stuck transferring or my virus scanner messed it up.... by the way, a tip for anyone reading this, make sure u disable any virus scanners before doing mass conversions, coz some virus scanners will scan every new file created by conversion, which will eat up a lot of cpu cycles and slow down the conversion hardcore.
