The wheels are turning though you may not see anything soon.

MC 12.0 is under way. This time, we'll run a closed beta for a few months.

We're also working on two big projects for other companies. Hopefully, these players will be seen (in Japan and Mexico, at least).

You may remember that we've built a player for Musicnet and it has taken some time.

Baking tip:

recently sue has made a few cheese cakes she used splenda as a replacement for sugar.

It was very good.

Regarding Splenda. I've used it before, and it does taste remarkably similar to sugar (though not indistinguishable). However... I have concerns.

I put it this way... Nature (or god depending on your point of view) invented sugar. Man invented Sucralose. Which do you think is safer?

Since MC is skinnable screen shots of a beta aren't very useful.

Maybe a list of revisions to thscripting/skinning language would be more helpful

From the screenshot we can see some interesting things...
- the tag info action window seems to use some kind of html ... will it be user customisable ?
- (not sure) the skin engine seems to... allows... more stuffs (no tearing on the reflection effect and there's a gradient from top to bottom). Is it right or is it just my imagination?
- playing now related stuffs in the tree pane ?

Not really, and i am not sure i would it it if it was one of mine.

I did get 19 tomatoes of the plants yesterday and made my self a tomato salad.

Two Tomatoes, One Onion, 1 Green Pepper, 1 jalapeno Pepper, 1 Banana Pepper And A Bit Of Wish Bone Italian Salad Dressing, Salt And Pepper To Taste.

I like the look of the glassy skin too.

I hope that there is a place in the new tagging interface to create/edit/delete fields.

I also think that it would be a good idea for MC to have a "Synch to portable" field by default, and a smartlist of the same name to be used as a master list for synching. Maybe chuck in a couple of child smartlists with the rule "files must come from Synch to portable smartlist" just to give people some ideas.
Then just to finish it all off, create a viewscheme called "Synch to portable" which has as its first column, the "Synch to portable" field, so that people can easily choose what they want on their portable using the "quick tagging mode"

I know that not everyone synchs like this, but it is a nice workflow that a lot of first time users would not think to make, and might benefit from knowing about.

My stepdad recently gave up on MC after I started talking about making fields, new viewschemes, and smartlists, just to be able to send music to his first ipod. He went with itunes because it was just easier.

Anyway, this has become a MC12 requests post, so I better stop.

Just so nobody else gets confused, you don't have to do anything special to sync an ipod. You just plug it in, choose a few playlists to sync, or drag the files you want onto the handheld icon. I can't imagine how it could be easier.

Yes, you're right Jim.

I should have added that I was trying to help him set up a system where he could just tick the albums that he wants to send to the ipod. similar to the itunes thing.

The ipod plugin has come really far since i started using mc. I cant remember the last time i had a problem with it.
