I want to install some plugins and have tried installing from here

http://accessories.jrmediacenter.com/mediacenter/accessories.php

but keep getting a package failed to install message. I also tried to install it from within MC by saving it to disc and then pointing to the folder and the relevant dll but still no joy! All I get is failed to install plugin!

For some reason I also get a failed to connect to server message when I check for updates. I know I have the latest build but have never not been able to connect before. My firewall has been turned off when I try to connect so I think I can rule that one out as a reason.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

I don't know if this is the same issue you're having, but this thread may help you:

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=32097.0

Basically, a corrupt Temporary Internet File ("index.dat") was preventing MC plugins from installing.  See the thread for details on the fix.
