while I was converting some files (from real audio to Mp3) a severe crash took place:
1) media centers doen'st start anymore
2) There is no way to unistall it: every time I run the uninstaller it freezes
3) The Instal/uninstall application panel in the control panel doesn't workanymore (there is a message that says that there is a script error in the page
4) windows media player, monkey player,  MusicMatch do not work anymore and you cannot reinstall them
5) itune works
6) some pages in explorer do not display properly.
7) it is not possible to reinstall media player because it say that cannot register the encape.dll, the oggenc.exe the enc_external.dll and many others.

what can I do?
I really loved media center.

I'd try a reboot and a virus scan.

Then try to install the latest MC build from the top of this board.
