Error when ripping CD with OGG encoder [RESOLVED]
« on: September 02, 2006, 05:43:52 pm »

I've been trying to rip several CD with the "included" Ogg encoder but I get an error saying "unable to pipe data to external application".  I'm selecting the "internal" ogg option in the encoder dropdown menu.  I replaced the oggenc.exe in the plugins menu with the aoTuV ogg encoder by renaming it oggenc.exe, as mentioned in a previous thread: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=34589.msg236070#msg236070
I'm not sure where to go from here to resolve my problem.  I've done some searching in the forums, but I'm stumped.  Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.  :)

EDIT: OK, this seemed to resolve itself.  I redownloaded the encoder, and renamed it from oggenc2.exe to oggenc.exe and placed it in the plug-ins folder (like I had previously done, several times) and now it seems to work.  Yipee!
