Switching from full Screen to Theater View and vice versa?
« on: September 27, 2006, 04:25:54 am »

It was possible in 11.1 with the menu key,
but since the menu key just bring what it should, how do I switch between the two views without returning to standard view (like F11 would do)?

Yeah, I noticed this yesterday myself. Is it possible to get the function of F11 (as it was in v11.1) back please?

F11 still works the same way it did in 11.1.

It cycles: Standard View --> Full (Display) View --> Theater View.  That's how it works in 11.1 too.  There may have been a different keypress that toggled Theater <--> Full Screen that's gone now, I don't know, but F11 is same as it ever was (I use and used it extensively on my HTPC -- its assigned to a button on my remote).

EDIT: Control+3 will do what you want.  As long as you start out from Theater View mode, hitting Control+3 will toggle into Display View.  Hitting it again will toggle you back to Theater View mode.  If you start from Standard View mode, it will toggle Display View <--> Standard View.

I've worked it out.... It's SHIFT+F11 ! This will toggle b/w Theater View and Fullscreen only.

SHIFT+F11
ok that's what I was looking for, thanks raym

Am I the only one who found it too complicated? (I mean it's T.View, so it should be very easy to use)
Why this obscure combination when F12 or even F would by faster to understand/learn//use?

I finally remembered the hot key combo coz if you right click anywhere in fullscreen/display view, it appears there in the context menu as "Toggle Theater View". In version 11.1 you used to be able to right click on Theater View to show the same context menu so it was a little more obvious I guess.
