MC Ripping - ASPI supported?

Hi there.

I'd like to try to use the  MC ripping feature instead of EAC.

EAC offered an external interface to use ASPI drivers instead of the internal win32 drivers.

Is there an option to configure e.g. ForceAspi in MC.

I have Adaptec ASPI installed. MC supports it automatically.

I don't know about ForceAspi. I have never heard of it before. Is it somehow special?

As far as I know you do not need ASPI any longer with Windows XP. The last ASPI driver I installed was many years ago, I think Windows 2000 needed it.

Force ASPI is a driver that provides ASPI support also on non SCSI devices.
The application gets better control over the drive - at least that's what I read.
It passes certain Windows processes by. ASPI is supposed to be better and more reliable than the SPTI driver introduced by XP. Though I don't know if this changed recently.

The Adaptec Windows versions works afaik on scsi drives only.

I had Force ASPI installed und used it with EAC.
