Any chance of a light portable (USB) library client?
« on: January 24, 2007, 09:56:43 am »

I think MC would be especially cool if there was a portable (USB Drive) version that could be a client to the library server.
That way I could use it at work and on the go!

Installing MC on my work computer is really not an option...

Perhaps you could even make a .NET version for a WM5 cell phone with wireless!

Many options!

I just getting ready to post a similar message and did a search and found this post....

Has this been discussed at all?

I'd really love a version that could be run from a USB drive totally.  There are more than enough "platforms" (or whatever they are called) to run applications directly from a USB drive, not requiring a "normal" install on a PC.  Just plug the USB drive in, it does its magic, you point it towards your music, and voila, instant listening of all your MP3, FLACs, etc.

Any thoughts on such a project?
