Crash importing media
« on: June 08, 2007, 11:28:14 am »

Using v253, but also seen in 251 and 240, I get the crash dialog while importing my files.  I was using the default extensions at the time.  It looks like it stopped while pulling in the playlists, so I retried import with just those extensions and confirmed that was the problem.

Workaround is to just skip the playlists for now.

Regards,

Derek

Could you try to pinpoint what playlist and send a copy to matt at jriver dot com?

Thanks for the help.

Sure.   I tracked it down to an old list that had files with the wrong disk.  Fixing the disk solved it.

Here is a quick example.

E:\My Music\Smash Mouth\Astro lounge\All star.mp3
N:\My Music\Smash Mouth\Astro lounge\Can't get enough of you baby.mp3
N:\My Music\Smash Mouth\Astro lounge\Road man.mp3

All my music is on N:, but this list had a E: reference which is now my CD-Drive.   Import a list like this with a bad location and you should see the crash.

Cheers,
Derek
