Integrating Handbrake?
« on: July 08, 2007, 10:24:05 pm »

Does anyone have any intention of integrating Handbrake into Media Center somehow?  I know MC has great audio and picture conversion settings but more video conversion settings could be added--especially for dealing with DVD content.

Handbrake has a very simple command line interface that MC could essentially send the DVD location with settings as defined by the user and it would then convert it to the new format, which would be ideal for the intended handheld.  MC would receive the newly converted file and could sync it as a normal file.  I would definitely be interested in checking this out to see how complicated it would be.  Would anyone else be interested in this?

The goal is to allow those who store full quality DVDs an option to auto-convert their high quality movies to compatible formats with the native resolution of the intended device, basically providing ultimate simplicity to the entire video syncing process.
