How about a "compare" feature for the image viewer?
« on: July 10, 2007, 11:24:54 pm »

A nice feature for MC would be the ability to select 2 images, and then by hitting a hotkey or button, open them up side by side in the display viewer for comparison. A pretty standard feature now in most photo organizer software. Some even let you compare up to six at once, but even 2 would be very useful for general comparisons. When zoom is used by hitting the plus or minus keys, it could zoom both photos at once, for the sake of simplicity. Anyway, it's a useful feature for us  photographers.

For pixel peeping, hold down Shift while pressing Pg Up / Pg Down.  You'll switch images while preserving zoom and scroll.

It's a really useful feature when you're picking the sharpest photo from a burst, comparing lenses, etc.

Thanks for the tip. It's not as useful as side by side, but it's better than nothing at all. Thanks again!
