Black and white on Radeon AIW S-Video input
« on: July 19, 2007, 03:39:38 pm »

Since everything with MC seems to work fine now (FFDShow, zooming, moving of the image), I would like to get an even better image.  I would like to try using S-Video instead of composite for the input from my satellite receiver. But when I try, I get a black and white image with much better sharpness than the composite input, but with some added noise, or whatever you should call it. It almost looks like it's an NTSC signal going into a PAL card or vice versa. Is there any particular reason that an AIW won't accept S-Video? I know this isn't directly MC related, but I thought it was worth asking since some of you use ATI capure cards.
