For viewing video, especially DVDs, I noticed that there are quite a few aspect ratios: 1.33, 1.66, etc. Could another be added that was between these two? I often view video that is close but not quite the same aspect ratio of the monitor--or there is some jagged/faded/strange occurrences at the edge of the video. So, if a middle choice was added, say 1.44, this would help reduce or eliminate the edge issues without cutting too much of the image out. 1.66 takes care of the smaller video issues but also cuts a large chunk of the video out.
I'm not sure if this is more of an issue with the DVD decoder or Media Center. It wouldn't hurt if this additional aspect ratio could be customized to any value a user wants: 1.40, 1.44, 1.50! Then, users could set it to be exactly what helps the most on a big percentage of the content they watch.
