I am sure this has been asked before -- and I hate to bother -- but, I can't find it by searching. 

What does one have to do to get the Artist and Title info to show up when playing a MC11 burned audio cd in car, etc.?

That's what I thought (and what I did -- twice), but, when I play the CD, both of my car players and Windows Media Player have "No Title", "Unknown Artist", and "Track 01, Track 02, ...". 

When I look at the cd in Windows Explorer, it shows Track01.cda, Track02.cda. etc.

I must be missing something.

Is the burner capable of writing CD text? Not all are.

That could be the problem.  I have a NEC 3520A.  Anybody know about this?

As said, ony some CD burners can write CD text. Also only some CD players can read CD text. Windows Explorer and Windows Media Player cannot read CD text.
