missing focal lenght and shutter speed from copied files
« on: November 01, 2007, 03:47:51 pm »

Hi,
I want to make copies of some pictures in the same directory as the original ones, to make cropped or edited versions of those pictures.
Since the original files are already in the MC library and with many fields (including user fields) already filled, I want the copied files to have all tags as the original files.
After some quick tests I decided to just make those copies using windows explorer and then select "Run Auto-Import Now" in MC, before editing the files with a photo editing program

The copied files get imported in the library with almost all fields filled correctly (i.e. as the original files), but in the copied files:
- Focal Lenght is empty
- Shutter Speed is empty
- Format shows "Uknown Focal Lenght" and "Unkown Shutter Speed", but when I click on it, both Focal Lenght and Shutter Speed are displayed correctly.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

it's a known bug that is fixed in the next release.
