I have video files that MC is copying to my iPod, but then not removing.

I manage podcasts on my iPod via a smartlist that contains podcasts with num plays < 1.  If I play a podcast, it is removed from the iPod the next time I sync, whether I play it in MC or on the iPod.  I've  managed audio podcasts like this quite a while without issue.  I now have  a 3G Nano.  When I have an unplayed video podcast it is copied to the iPod as expected; but after I play it, the video stays on the Nano.  The video is not in the playlist any more, but I can browse the iPod and see the file.  If I delete the file from the iPod, it goes away, but I don't recover any space on the iPod.

I've re-initialized to see if it fixes the problem.  No change.
