Image Management

I know MC isn't set up for optimal image sync across multiple computers, but I like to keep a lossy backup of my photos on the laptops for use away from home.

The problem is when I copy files, then re-size, I'm losing tags...or my mind.

I'm not a tag master but I assumed something as standard as .jpg format would have universal tags. I think I may have moved files in Explorer but resized with MC on the new location.

I can't really do any testing as I'm missing two computers right now.

Is the best way to copy files, create a new library (don't use the tree), tags should be intact, and have MC resize?

Hopefully image support gets added to the sync features of MC in the future....

The handheld (or virtual handheld) system already supports images and even image resizing on transfer.

Also, MC reads (and writes where appropriate) EXIF, IPTC, XMP, and JRiver tags with JPEG files.

Does MC write XMP tags?
