Is it possible to share extended HD's permanently?
« on: November 14, 2007, 02:47:56 am »

I have 4 extended USB WD My Book 1000GB drives. I named them permanently N: O: P: and Q:
When I restart my system the're not shared anymore. Isn't there a way to do it permanently?

Thanks,

My external drive shares all persist through reboots.  How did you set up the shares?

Are you using XP Pro, XP Home, Vista, or something else?

Are you using a wireless connection? My old laptop would try to Reconnect Drives On Startup (which is an option after you map the drive on the client IIRC) but the wireless connection would not connect until after Windows had already tried to re-map the drives.

Hello,

I'm using XP Home, connected with USB. Shared them with a right click on the icon in the folder tree.
