a moment of reflection & thanks for the tagging power of MC...
« on: January 05, 2008, 01:47:13 am »

It's the new year and I just finished my annual chore of getting the Billboard top 100 songs of the previous year. Tagging these 100 different artist collections to perfection would be a major pain without the truly amazing tagging power of MC...

- recursive view to expose all nested folders (this is so great...)
- convert audio (one click to get rid of those nasty Flacs...)
- analyze audio for consistent volume (happily grinds away while I do other tagging stuff...)
- fill properties from filename with sophisticated patterns (a major time saver...)
- fill track numbers from list order (I smile every time I use this...)
- clean file properties for consistent capitalization (a perfectionist's dream...)
- split view for checking consistency of artist spelling with existing library (so convenient...)
- simultaneous tagging of multiple tracks (a pleasure to use...)
- add cover art from file (very fast...)

And the finishing touch to produce perfect folder and file names from perfect tags...
- rename files from properties (I LOVE this feature...)

Thanks again to the JRiver team for creating such a great appplication.
