Playlists Not Working after Resotration of Library
« on: March 01, 2008, 03:38:02 pm »

After reformatting my C hard drive, I reinstalled MC12 and imported the latest backup of my library.  Before I reformatted my C drive, the drive containing all my music had been labeled the S drive.  After I reformatted the C drive, however, Vista recognized my music drive as volume F instead of as volume S.  So I used Vista's own utility to reassign F as S.  And everything seemed to work fine in MC12, and I could play track simply by typing in their names and double-clicking them.

But then I tried to make a playlist, which contained tracks from various albums.  When I started the playlist by double-clicking on the first track, MC12 played that track fine, but when it tried to play track 2 it refused, instead giving this error: "Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files.  Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location."  Oddly, I could manually play that very track by double-clicking on it in the same playlist.  And then when that song finished, MC12 again abruptly stopped, giving the same error message.  Then, the playlist turned into Expression Errors.  Moving the cursor over the playlist tracks shows that they are correctly pointing to volume S.  When I double-clicked on an Expression Erorr, MC12 crashed.  When I reloaded MC12, I double-clicked on the fourth track, and it played correctly.  The rest of the tracks also play correctly, automatically and without any manual input.

I have the latest MC12 build.  Any ideas?
