Just started messing around with stacks on my audio files. Just using a sample group of tracks for the moment, but seeing some things I would consider issues. Already posted separate threads with the fist two items I had found and was wondering if it would be more helpful to have a central thread to discuss stacks - especially given that it is a new feature with great potential but not completely polished around the edges.
Another issue:
Stacked multiple versions of a file (different file types) with the 'top' of the stack being the .ape version. When I use a view scheme that would include a non-top level item in the stack, all of the 'view scheme' items are there (tree to the left and records at the top) but the files do not show up in the view. In this case I am looking at my 'File Type' view. All of my .dts files are children in a stack. My 'file type' view has dts as a tree item in the left pane and a selection in the top window. When I select it either place, the view scheme is empty.
A hint:
When stacking items, the top item in the view becomes the 'parent' or 'top' item in the stack. I wanted my .ape files to be the parent item, so I sorted the view in a way that make them the top records of the groups I wished to stack. Then when I stacked the items I didn't have to go back and manually set the 'top' entry to what I wanted.
