Japanese tags show up... why-how?
« on: April 01, 2008, 12:24:40 am »

Hello,
I downloaded a few tracks of a Japanese band.. the tags all looked normal and in English.
All is OK in MC12. However, when the tracks get submitted to last.fm they get submitted in Japanese! Well, the artist name shows up in Japanese, the title names are in English..

東京スカパラダイスオーケストラ – Fireball Jive
my tags say:
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra – Fireball Jive

Last.fm plugin log shows english but what gets into last.fm is Japanese..
Code: [Select]
'u=maxsid&s=32e40b330ac99f9ff3a6c0babd80bc6c&a[0]=Tokyo%20Ska%20Paradise%20Orchestra&t[0]=Fireball%20Jive&b[0]=Best%20Of%20Tokyo%20Ska%201998-2007%20(1)&m[0]=&l[0]=230&i[0]=2008-04-01%2004:39:33&'Any idea?
Thanks!

I think Last.fm uses a voting system for fixing spelling errors. Maybe the English and Japanese entries are recognized as the same track.

I suspected they had some sort of a lookup system but doubted it..
Looks like they really do. Interesting...
Thanks!
