JRWorker?
« on: April 10, 2008, 03:24:42 am »

I'm pretty sure that I have all of the auto options turned off so, should only access the net by choice.  I keep getting a message from my firewall that JRWorker is trying to access the internet.  Any ideas?
Thanks

It's used during auto import and building thumbnails (possible more??). You should be right to tell your firewall it's safe....

JRWorker.exe also looks for iPods, WMDM devices, etc.

If you enable iPhone support, it will access local host (this is an Apple thing).

Otherwise, some misbehaved DirectShow filter used for video importing / thumbnailing may be pinging a server.  It is not JRiver code doing it.

Sounds more like an overactive firewall to me.

ZoneAlarm by any chance?
(Bloated, and can cause nasty issues, would reccomend ditching in favour of Kerio if you must have a firewall)

Cheers
