Backup strategy - Will I sqrew things up?
« on: May 01, 2008, 02:43:36 am »

I use a program "Second Copy" for backing up and synchronizing my music and images onto a NAS and my living room computer. But my NAS which contains the library has been a bit troublesome lately. Untill now, I have had a copy from the NAS to my ordinary computer, to back up the library as is, but I am thinking of to change it.

Would I get into serious trouble if I mark it for sync instead of copy? I wanted to be able to open the local library whenever the NAS is unavailable, but what problems may i get with that? since my living room computer also uses the same library, it will probably happen that i open each of them seperatly. May cross-copy (one lib file from there, and one from the other) damage the library?
