MC not making thumbnails of photos

I've been working with MC (currently v12.0.534) to manage my photos for some time and have not run into this before.

I've tried the Build Thumbnails function but these images just won't be thumbnailed.
264 of 730 images taken with the same camera, etc. won't thumbnail.

MC Displays the image just fine, rollover on the thumb pops up the image OK, but still no thumbnail.

Any Ideas?

Try doing Update Library (from tags) on the files.  This should force thumbnails to rebuild.

Media Center stops trying to thumbnail if it fails a few times in a row.  Maybe this happened if the files were missing for a while or something.
