Runtime Error
« on: July 31, 2002, 03:40:10 pm »

I am having quite a tough time with your software.  At the present time I'm running a AMD Duron 1Ghz with 512 mb of ram.  My operating system is Windows 98 Second Edition  It seems that every time I try to install you're all I get is the following runtime error.

I have tried downloading MJ8 4 times already. is there a way anyone can help me with this problem?

Kevin,
It's a Windows problem, probably.  Try clearing out your temporary Internet files in IE.  IE has a bug that causes problems in this area.

IE/Tools/Internet Options/Temporary Internet files/ delete files.
It could be something else, but this is a good bet.

I emptied the temporary internet files but I'm still getting the same error.

I emptied c:\windows\temp but I still got the same error.  Should I try to set this program up useing safe mode?

No, safe mode won't make any difference.

I'm wondering whether the processor supports MMX.

Let's give it a rest, if that's OK with you, until tomorrow.  Someone else at JRiver may have an idea.
