How long will it be before you release the next major upgrade?  3 months?  12?
Can you talk about what that version might do?  (I won't tell MS/MM/Real.  I promise!)

Get Mouseman's "MJ News" plugin.  There's some hints there...

If History Dictates, Maybe 3-4 Months A Beta, But Then Again Jim Said Matt Has Been Working On MJ9 Who Knows For How Long.

In Other Words Who Knows

After A Beta Comes Out Like For MJ8 It Had Allot Of Enhancements Over 7.2 It Took Some Time From The Project Start Till It Was Released. I Think This Is Longer Than What JimH Wanted It To But But Sometimes Things Are Like A Fine Wine.

In Other Words Who Knows

I Can Talk About MJ9 Freely

One Major Thing in MJ9 It Will allows A User to Beam Him Self from One Part of the Globe to the Other (Long Distances like the Moon May Need to Wait for MJ10).

You Can Communicate With Vulcan’s, And Traficant from a Longer Distance Than The Local Jail.

I Hope This Helps

Thanks for the hints.  Please keep them coming.  I love new things.

I'd stay away from the beaming feature though.  Seems too dangerous, especially in the first release.  I hope this won't increase the cost of MJ too much.

Not Sure the Beaming Might Be a Plug-In

Not everyone will use it, and I was told it will be decided at release.

They have it working now but:

A Transporter Malfunction caused JimH to be split into separate beings: one compassionate, the other savage. Matt and Nikolay suffered along with there friend as JimH confronted a side of his nature no man should see. His only hope for survival was to reunite his two selves. But JimH passive half lost the ability to make decisions.

Or Was This A Star Trek Episode.

The Good JimH Is

1. Passive
2. And lost the ability to make decisions.

That May Be The "Evil JimH", Sounds Kind Of Forcefull, Don't He

Here is the short list for Version 9 new features:

-Adds DVD copying.
-Improved encoders and better plug-in management.
Cross-fade and normalization plug-ins have been included as standard (free) offering.
-The Media Library now supports Microsoft's new XML-based Windows Media Metadata and "Smart Playlists."
-The metadata can be used to view and sort music and video by a variety of different categories, along with creating rule-based playlists.
-The search tool has received more prominent placement in the Media Library, and now supports advanced rule-based searches.
-A new tool called Advanced Edit.
-For each song or video, users can input a massive amount of details such as mood, beats per minute, Web sites, multiple comments, pictures and even synchronized lyrics.
-A "Send to Friend" option allows users to send a song or video to others on MSN or Windows Messenger with a simple click of the mouse
For home users, a big addition is the ability to copy DVD movies to disk.

I'd be happy with a plug-in that would pick up my socks and empty the trash!  That way I could spend more time on the PC!
