I searched this topic and haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

If I change the ratings on my iPod should it update my MC library during the next sync? I'm currently running 512 and when I sync my iPod ratings all get set back to what is already in MC and I lose all of my iPod changes.

I should mention that I did check the option to get stats from portable device on sync.

We should be getting those ratings. We won't read the new ratings if the file on the PC has changed since we transferred the file to the iPod (we don't want local changes to be trumped by iPod changes). We also try to avoid importing the ratings if we don't think the file was tranferred from the current PC.

i'll install 515 and test a few songs but the files did not change in MC and all media originated from the MC library on this system.

I'l' test again and report back.
