MJ 7.241 and Volume slider

I recently installed MJ 7.1.241 on my Win2K machine. Everything seems to work ok except that the volume control slider is now grayed out. I am unable to adjust the volume.

I have am using the Soundblaster Live value card in the system. With the same hardware setup it worked with the machine when the Win98 OS was installed.

Any suggestions?

Check the Options -> Playback -> Output setting.

Also, upgrade to Media Jukebox 8 -- it blows 7 out of the water.
