No Sound
« on: August 10, 2008, 12:36:58 am »

Hi

For some reason, some my mp3's that used to play, don't anymore. Everything seems to work fine, the song plays, but no sound can be heard.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Volume? Mute? Loose cable? DSP Studio?

In particular I'd check DSP Studio.  I've had the DSP Volume Leveling feature cause this exact issue.  It can be random, and "mute" some songs while not others.  I suspect it has to do with incorrect Audio Analysis figures for those songs, but I'm not sure.  Either way, try disabling all that stuff and see if it fixes your issue.

I haven't yet tried most of that, but the songs that i was having problems with, work fine using the speakers connecting to the sound blaster audigy sound card when an amplifier is connected to the card. I'll try what you suggested and if that does not work, i'll get bak to you
