Cleaning up conversion cache stacks
« on: September 22, 2008, 10:01:05 pm »

So, I used to sync to my iPod by converting my mostly WMA lossless tracks to mp3 (as a stack) and syncing. This was all well and good, but then I got an iPhone. While I love the device, Apples closed system that requires me to use iTunes to sync is annoying, but there's nothing I can do about it right now, so...I'd like to clean up my old conversion cache (delete all the mp3s), have MC sync my main library to another folder and then have iTunes import it from there.

How can I find/delete all of my mp3 cache stacks keeping in mind that I have some tracks that are not WMA and therefore the only version is mp3 (i.e., I can't just delete all mp3s).

Also, is it possible to have MC sync to a folder and convert to m4a? I didn't see m4a listed as a supported converter format.

I've no idea about m4a.

As to conversion cache files you might want to check for a non empty "Stack Tag" value.  Or where "Stack Tag" equals "HH Conversion".
