I can't add more than 50, 000 files to my library, MC13 (13.0.62) crahes...

It's not an MC limit.  It could be a bad directshow filter.

Try importing a single filetype.  Try single directories.

If you can find a file that causes a problem, we'd like to have a copy.

This problem was reported a while ago and turned out to be an out of memory problem. The interim work around was to import files in more modest chunks. It was recently reported as being properly fixed. I wonder if it has reoccured?

I did not find the file which poses problem. In addition, when I add my files to my library with MC 12, there is no problem, everything works well! Thereafter, I tried to add my files with MC13 but by configuring the MP3 plugin (Ignore ID3v2 tags during analysis) and there I succeeded in adding all my files! Apparently my problem would come from Tag of one of my files or from the new MP3 plugin of MC13…

I still will make tests and will keep you informed.

Please enable logging to a file in Help > Logging.

Then restart the player.

Do the import.

Get the crash.

Restart the player.

Use Help > Logging to email the log to matt at jriver dot com.

MC 12 could get in trouble importing more than 100,000+ files to an empty library.  This was addressed with MC 13, and it should be able to import far more files at once.

It looks like reading the image from it caused a crash.

Also, there are two import jobs running at the same time, doing the same work.  This must be a bug where your manual import isn't stopping the background auto-import.  We'll fix this, but in the meantime, you may want to disable auto-import.
