Importing files from a directory shortcut ?
« on: July 24, 2002, 01:58:57 pm »

I have media files in different directories.  MJ import doesn't seem to allow saving a list of places to always import from (WHY NOT?), so the next best thing seems to be placing shortcuts to all my seperate folders in single folder and importing from there.  Doh!  That doesn't seem to work either - import does not "see" my shortcut directories, nor will it descend them.  There is a similar problem with network shares in that if the share is the root from which you want to import from, it finds no files.  Specifiy a folder beneath the root level share, and it finds files in that folder and below.

*sigh*

You could move your files into subfolders of one music folder.

Or

You could use the browse button to find the separate folders each time.

Your idea is a good one, but we haven't done it.
